Since 1967, Teton Science Schools have been an important resource for educating, training and inspiring students of all ages through mission-based work that directly connects people to nature through education.
In 1999, Teton Science Schools acquired Great Plains Wildlife Institute and renamed it Wildlife Expeditions. Since then, Wildlife Expeditions has become nationally recognized for connecting people to nature through responsible wildlife observation and natural history explorations throughout the Greater Yellowstone Geo-ecosystem.
Our distinctive expeditions through Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks and surrounding wild lands have been featured in a host of magazines and newspapers including: National Geographic Traveler, Audubon, Conde Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure, Southern Living, Better Homes and Gardens, Outside Magazine, Endless Vacations, Ski Magazine, Sunset Magazine, The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times.
We travel in comfortable, customized, safari-style vehicles equipped with retractable roof hatches that allow clients to view wildlife without disturbing their natural behaviors. To get folks really up-close-and-personal, we provide premium binoculars and spotting scopes on every trip. Our enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff know where to look for wildlife—vastly increasing viewing opportunities—and delight in explaining their habits, secrets and how different species work together in their environment. The rare combination of expertise and enthusiasm sets Wildlife Expeditions apart—so much so that we have been officially recognized by the U.S. Department of the Interior for significant contributions to America’s public lands.
Please note: Wildlife Expeditions invites qualified journalists to enjoy a complimentary two-night stay and behind-the-scenes tour of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Journalists must be working on a qualified story assignment, and requests are granted based on space availability.
